Sausage Breakfast Quiche

We love breakfast! Unfortunately, the hustle and bustle of the morning rush doesn't always leave a lot of spare time for preparing tasty hot meals. This quick and easy sausage quiche is the perfect solution! You can prep the night before and throw it together quickly, or bake, slice, and throw it in the oven to warm. Either way, the combination of flavors is scrumptious.

Ingredients:

1 prepared pie crust

1 roll Jimmy Dean Sausage, Mild

8 eggs

1 bell pepper, chopped

1/2 small onion, diced

( * or 1 10oz pack seasoning blend)

1 cup condensed milk

1 block sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

*Because we're usually in a hurry when making this dish, we cheat and us a frozen seasoning blend. We have used and recommend the mix from Publix or Trader Joe's

Directions:

Preheat oven and prepare crust according to the directions on the box

In a skillet over medium to high heat, brown the sausage until no pink remains

Add the seasoning blend and cook for 1 minute, drain grease

Pour sausage mixture into the bottom of the crust

Crack eggs into a mixing bowl and beat. Add milk and continue to whisk.

Pour egg and milk mixture into the pie crust over the sausage mixture.

Cover the top with shredded cheese

Bake for 20-30 minutes.

Allow the quiche to rest for 30 minutes before serving.
