Y'all... I don't even know where to start. We hosted our 5th annual family and friends Trunk or Treat this past weekend, and the trunks were beyond amazing. I'm talking about matching costumes, working lights, and even live animals. I always tell my mama she's extra, but apparently, all of our family and friends are too.
We always give a prize for the best "trunk". This year's winner was a chicken coop complete with live chickens for the kids to feed. Seriously, the kids were more interested in feeding the chickens then getting candy.
The competition was stiff and the judges have told us we better have 3 spots next year. There was even mention of creating a money pool for those interested. Safe to say the adults might be just a tad bit competitive. Some have already started planning their trunk for next year. They will either be over the top, or people will opt to put a bowl of candy on their tailgate. 😂
Trunk-or-Treat has turned into an event loved by both the young and young at heart. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with next year.
